Description
Escape the city crowds for a few hours and join us for this unique experience among the vines and olive trees. The location is Malaštica Hill, 400 metres above the Adriatic Sea, only a 15-min scenic drive from the Dubrovnik Old Town and near the border with Bosnia and Herzegovina. You will be picked up from your hotel or a meeting point and driven to the foothills of Malaštica (Vardia). There is an easy short hike to the first olive grove with 22 trees through the old forest among the wild Mediterranean bushes, flowers and herbs with spectacular views of Župa Dubrovačka and the Adriatic Sea. During a short break, you will taste a home-made herb brandy or a liqueur made with fruits from our orchard. In the biggest classroom in the world – the Dubrovnik countryside, I will share with you the knowledge I’ve accumulated through education and working in the fields with my father and grandfather. You will see (and touch) our olive trees and vines and find out about the cultivation and production of oil and wine. You will taste our delicious organic olive oil with home-made bread and our white wine. After the tasting and the presentation, we’ll walk back to the car and you’ll be taken back to your accommodation.
